About Eriko Her

Hello, I’m Eriko Her, a licensed professional counselor with several years of experience dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate their mental health journeys. My passion for mental health care started with a deep desire to support people through life’s challenges, whether they are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or perinatal and  postpartum mental health.

My Approach

I believe in a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy. Every individual’s experience is unique, and my goal is to provide personalized care that addresses your specific needs and goals. I utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help you understand and change negative thought patterns and behaviors.
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): To teach you techniques that help reduce stress and stay present.
  • Emotions Focused Therapy (EFT) To improve your relationship with yourself and with others. 
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): To help you identify and work towards your goals effectively.


My areas of specialization include:

  • Trauma Therapy: Helping individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences.
  • Anxiety Therapy: Providing strategies to manage and reduce anxiety symptoms.
  • Depression Therapy: Supporting clients in overcoming feelings of sadness and hopelessness.
  • Perinatal and Postpartum Therapy: Offering support for parental mental health such as postpartum anxiety & depression, miscarriage, and loss of a child.

Personal Background

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family (two children and husband), painting, and exploring different parks. These activities help me stay grounded and balanced, which is essential for providing the best care to my clients.
